FAQ's

Q: Can I use Quartz for my outside BBQ/Table?

A: Quartz isn't recommended for outdoor use as it is not heat resistant. We recommend using Granite or Quartzite as they are both heat resistant stones.

Q: Does Granite crack?

A: Not with ordinary use! Granite is most fragile during the transportation from our shop to your home. Once installed, normal use will not crack Granite.

Q: Does Granite or Quartzite stain?

A: Both have the ability to stain, but we will be sealing the Granite or Quartzite upon installation to protect your investment. The sealer we use is good for 5 years and after you can give us a call for a quote to reseal it or you can DIY!

Q: What is Dolomite?

A: Dolomite is a stone that is 70% Granite and 30% Marble. It is commonly sold as Marble or Quartzite, but it is its own category. Dolomite is just as durable as Granite but is a bit softer. It still needs to be sealed every 5 years. Dolomite is heat resistant like Granite.
